鐵巨人 是豬鎮DLC獨有的生物。它以大型鐵巨人解體後的頭部，肋骨，手臂和腿的形式出現。

在玩家第一次發現時，鐵巨人將被苔蘚和樹葉覆蓋，大概是因為它們已經被廢置了很長一段時間。當用十字鎬開採時，它們會被激活並攻擊玩家或附近的任何目標。它們也可以被閃電激活，這使會它們更長時間地被激活。在大災變期間，鐵巨人將不斷激活。

有六個不同的部分：頭部，肋骨，兩條腿和兩條手臂。手臂和肋骨是迄今為止最具破壞性的一種，因為它們會射出巨大的激光束，直線會引發小爆炸，造成巨大的傷害，如果沒有裝備護甲，可以立即殺死玩家。這些激光束還會使目標着火。頭部和腿部將進行粉碎攻擊，它們將跳躍到目標並墜落，進行小型範圍攻擊，也會射出激光束，如果實體更接近於攻擊中心，則會進行連續攻擊。

但是，玩家可以通過反覆開採來獲得鐵礦。由於鐵巨人的攻擊識別系統只能在開始攻擊時才會鎖定玩家位置，因此鐵巨人可以在處於活動狀態時偶爾被玩家開採。

當某一個部件運動到另一個休眠的部件附近，即使此時它已經耗盡能量要休眠，也會再「激活」（不攻擊）移動到休眠的部件上並與之合體，開採這個合體部件會使它解體，並激活其中的每一個部件。

大型鐵巨人 是一個頭目級怪物。這是玩家激活每個肢體（包括一個頭部、一個軀幹、兩個腿、兩個手）並將它們帶到同一個地方的結果。一旦最後一塊與其它已合體的五個部分拼接，大型鐵巨人將立即醒來，戰鬥將會開始。大型鐵巨人有各式各樣的攻擊：

以鐵巨人為中心向周圍發射3-5個地雷，靠近將激活地雷並在一秒後爆炸；
向玩家以較短的攻擊間隔投擲激光球，光球不會像椰樹人投擲的椰子那樣顯示陰影因此無法預判落點。僅在距離鐵巨人較遠時使用；
高速旋轉一周並發射激光；
震擊地面並在鐵巨人周圍形成一圈玄武磚岩困住玩家。
近戰攻擊：張開大嘴向前擊碎目標；
短距離傳送，落地時會摧毀玄武岩牆。

在死亡後，大型鐵巨人將會爆炸，所有的鐵巨人肢體將會隨機炸飛到其當前所處的島嶼的各處，頭部則直接掉落在死亡地點。所有地雷和玄武磚岩都將保留在原來的地方，直到被摧毀。大型鐵巨人將掉落2~4個齒輪，2~6個鐵礦，6~7個注鐵，以及活體神器藍圖。

建議先開採肋骨。雖然他們造成的傷害最大，但他們的攻擊最容易被閃躲。肋骨有較長的攻擊間隔，允許玩家在不躲避攻擊的情況下進行更長時間的開採肋骨。
發現鐵巨人的生物群系通常在雷鳥旁邊。這可能導致鐵巨人被閃電擊中，導致鐵巨人被激活並經常對附近的建築造成嚴重破壞。
雷鳥不會遠離鐵巨人，因此雷鳥被擊殺時會着火，掉落的雷霆羽毛也會被燒成灰燼。
肋骨和手臂可以在近戰範圍內用激光攻擊，即使它們只是在射程範圍內進行攻擊。在激活前開採鐵巨人的肢體要小心。
傳送法杖和傳送焦點可作為快速的運輸方式，以紫寶石和理智為代價將鐵巨人的肢體收集到所需位置。拼合過後的鐵巨人肢體以一次傳送即可完成運輸。
由於大型鐵巨人死亡後其各肢體與頭部組件不會隔島刷新，所以將其傳送到最小的四島後再擊殺能為之後的拼合提供很多方便。

肋骨和手臂的激光類似於多人版饑荒冬季盛宴活動中的鹿角怪。
鐵巨人的lua文件為它提供了一個信息表，並且有未實現的信息，例如：鐵巨人的生命。它的健康狀況定為1000，戰利品包括鐵礦和齒輪。
根據Rhymes with Play＃213，鐵巨人的創造者是一個秘密。
鐵巨人的攻擊不會傷害遠古先驅，但幾乎可以傷害任何其他東西，甚至暗影生物。
在自定義世界菜單中，它們被稱為"生鏽的鐵巨人"。
目前，被大型鐵巨人殺死的玩家在死亡記錄里的死因為「惡作劇」。

Klei將鐵巨人描述為「仍然被遺忘的陷入長期戰爭中的孤獨哨兵」.^[2]
如果鐵巨人的肢體和大型鐵巨人用代碼一起生成，它們將互相殘殺。
鐵巨人（以及鹿角怪，蜘蛛女王，熊獾，蜻蜓龍，旋風海豹，復活骸骨和暴怒的克勞斯）擁有每分鐘-400理智的瘋狂光環。
