造型（Skins）是多人版饑荒的一個特色。它是玩家用來自定義其游戲中角色和玩家頭像的裝飾物品，當首次加入一個伺服器時，玩家可選擇其角色的造型，或者通過在遊戲中使用衣櫃。造型在玩饑荒多人版服務器時隨機獲得，且時間是加權的，所以每周多人版游戲時間在平均水平的玩家應得到少量禮物，而玩到一定時間的則應得到全部四個[1]，玩家每周最多從隨機掉落中獲得 4 件造型，該計數每周四 1pm （太平洋時間）重置，在Klei的Twitch每周播報（Klei's weekly Twitch broadcast）之前。

交換小屋。

玩家必須在線才能獲得造型，且必須打開前一個禮物盒才能收到下一個。造型是純裝飾性的，除了視覺效果外沒有任何遊戲加成。Steam用戶可以和其他玩家交易造型，可在社區市場 （Community Market）上買/賣，把它們變成線軸，或使用交易小屋平臺，玩家可以用 9 件不想要的造型換取 1 件更高品質的造型。傑出（Distinguished）造型不能用來換取高雅（Elegant）造型，高雅（Elegant）造型不能用來交易因爲它是最高品質。

Gift Icon

禮物盒。

玩家必須獲得一個隨機掉落來取得造型，提示是螢幕左上角禮物盒的出現，並伴隨類似撕紙的聲音，此後，玩家必須前往任一科研站（科學儀器或者煉金引擎）來打開。當一聲哨響，科研站開始散發憧憧黑影時，就可以打開禮物獲得造型了。高階造型較低機率在遊戲中掉落。

共有 13 種造型（身體、手部、腿部、足部、角色、物品、建築、寵物、動作、表情、頭像、頭像背景和待機背景）(Body, Hands, Legs, Feet, Characters, Items, Structures, Critters, Emotes, Emoticons, Profile Icons, Profile Backgrounds and Loading Backgrounds), 依據不同稀有程度分類。普通、優雅、漂亮、傑出、高雅（Common, Classy, Spiffy, Distinguished or Elegant ）稀有程度的物件都是可以交易和出售的，除非如下另作標記。忠誠、永恆、活動、購買憑證或獎勵（Loyal, Timeless, Event, Proof of Purchase or Reward）稀有程度的物件是無法從每周隨機掉落中獲得，而要通過其它方式獲得，這些永遠不能交易或出售。

  • 漂亮'的 棒球外套（'Letterman Jacket）和 睿智毛衣（Smart Sweater） 造型是在PAX盛會（ PAX festival） 前往Klei Entertainment展位的獎勵。  
  • 傑出的 貓咪戲服（Catty Costume）、無恥的切斯特服裝（Cheeky Chester Costume）、咕嚕咪僞裝（Glommy Guise） 和 Hutch Disguise 造型只能在官方萬聖之夜活動期間獲得。
  • 傑出的  聖誕連衣裙（Yuletide Frock） 和 聖誕長外套（Yuletide Overcoat） 造型只能在官方冬季盛宴活動期間獲得。
  • 活動的 幸運野獸服裝（Lucky Beast Attire）, 幸運野獸外套（Lucky Beast Outfit）、絲綢外套（'Silk Brocade Coat） 和 絲質睡衣（'Silk Pajamas） 造型一般不掉落，而是在官方火雞之年和座狼之年活動中供每個人使用。

  • All Backpack skins have a unique feature where if left on the ground for too long, they will start rotting and eventually turn into Moldy Backpacks. They can still be worn and used as a normal Backpack with no extra effects.
  • The Proof of Purchase Crabpack, Deerclops Duffel, Glommer Pack and Meepsack skins are obtained by purchasing the Crab Plushie, Deerclops Plushie, Glommer Plushie, and Mandrake Plushie, respectively, from the Klei Store.
