荨麻藤是哈姆雷特DLC独有的植物。它不需要任何工具收成，每次收成一个荨麻。

与蘑菇类似，荨麻藤只会在它完全生长并同时具有“湿”效果时才可以收获，这意味着它能在潮湿季节中自然生长，并可以在下雨和雾时收获。当荨麻藤被收获或者移植之后，它必须在连续三天湿润的条件下（或者薇克伯顿的《实用园艺集》）才会重新完全生长。完全生长的荨麻藤便可以在任何湿润的时候进行收获。玩家也可以在它附近配置洒水器，这样在四季都能生长。另外，荨麻藤只会在深层雨林地皮和茂密地皮上生长。种植在其它地皮上的荨麻藤即便在保持湿润的情况下，也是不会生长的。

存在一个BUG，在读档后，荨麻的生长时间将被重置，也就是如果玩家存在频繁读档的行为，采摘、移植后的荨麻藤可能一直不能收获。
