聪明芽（Brainy Sprout）是一种会在海难DLC中珊瑚礁附近生成的植物，采摘后可获得脑物质（Brainy Matter），并会在被采摘后 20 天重新生长。
若未被采摘，它会在黄昏和夜晚时发光，发出足以抵挡查理的光亮。发光的聪明芽还会产生一个理智光环。
若未被采摘，可以使用锤子将其永久摧毁，掉落两块石灰石和一份脑物质。

- 聪明芽的理智光环范围非常短，玩家必须几乎紧贴着它航行才能获得理智加成。如果计划在附近建造Sea Yard，则需要将其建得非常靠近聪明芽，以使修理范围与理智光环重叠。
- 可以将脑物质储存在Bundling Wrap中，以防止其腐败。
