Wilbur is a playable character in Don't Starve: Shipwrecked. He has 125 health, 175 hunger, and 150 sanity. All Prime Apes are considered as permanently befriended to Wilbur and they will not pick non-edible items around the player or try to harass him. Wilbur's base speed is 5.5 instead of 6 like other Characters, but he can run after walking for 3 seconds of time, setting his speed to 8. While running though, his Hunger will drain 33% faster than usual. His running ability provides a significant advantage for getting out of situations that would otherwise overwhelm players.

Wilbur will automatically produce and drop Manure once about every 2-5 days. Wilbur gains 10 sanity when eating Bananas (including cooked version, but excluding Banana Pop).

Wilbur is unlocked by finding him in the Ocean and returning his Tarnished Crown to him. The crown is a rare drop when killing Prime Apes or by giving a banana to a Prime Ape, causing nearby Prime Apes to throw their possessions at you.
