–Wurt
A Walrus Camp (or Igloo) is a naturally generated and indestructible structure that spawns MacTusk, Wee MacTusk, and Blue Hounds during Winter.
All players must be a couple screens away from the a Walrus Camp for it to spawn the first hunting party of the season (far enough for it to unload). Similarly, the camp won't go away in the Summer until it's off-screen. If a MacTusk is killed, a new one will spawn about every 2.5-3 days until the last day of Winter. This means MacTusk may be killed a maximum of 5 or maybe 6 times from one igloo in one Winter (effectively for an entire year). If he does not drop the Tam o' Shanter or Walrus Tusk, or enough of them, the first few winters may revolve around being ready to kill him every time he respawns.
By day, the walruses walk around near the igloo. At night, they return to the igloo, but will jump out ready to fight if the two Blue Hounds bark. The light will be on in the Walrus Camp at night if MacTusk or Wee MacTusk is alive.
In , Walrus Camps will be generated on all terrain, except Marsh Biomes. The igloo often appears near Maxwell's Door, and two or more will often spawn in a close vicinity to each other.
In , there is one guaranteed Walrus Camp in a mini-Grassland in the Moon Stone Forest. Some worlds have a Triple-MacTusk Biome. This takes the form of a large Savanna without beefalo, including a small Grassland, small Rockyland, a Stage, and three Walrus Camps. This can be dangerous if the camps are close together, but can nearly ensure the desired drops the first year.

When it's not Winter, an inactive Walrus Camp is a big dark brown circle on the ground, which can be walked over. Regardless of the season, the Walrus Camp appears as an igloo on the map.
Strategy[]
See MacTusk N' Son.
Tips[]
- Bases near Walrus Camps are ill-advised since the hunting party has a long range.
Trivia[]
- All the creatures that spawn from Walrus Camps are known as "children" in the game files.
- Occasionally, a Walrus Camp will spawn in the Adventure Mode world Two Worlds. As it's always summer there, MacTusk will never emerge.
- Even though there is not an igloo present in Summer, the player is unable to craft any structures within the borders of the circle.
