A mountain that spits death to the heavens!

Wendy

The Volcano is a naturally occurring object which can be found in the Deep Ocean Biome.

When the volcano is approached, the camera zooms out until the player can see it as a whole.

During Dry Season it will erupt periodically throwing out Ash and raining down burning rocks around the player. Each burning rock will significantly damage or destroy structures and other world objects they hit, and ignite flammable objects and Mobs around the point of impact. See Dry Season for more information.

Burning rocks which don't hit the water leave lava pools. When the lava pools extinguish, they leave stone and charcoal. This gives the player a reusable source of stone/charcoal.

Volcanos are climbable ever since Wilbur Vs. The Volcano. It is the Shipwrecked equivalent of caves.

Withered coffee plants, and withered elephant cactus are found here, and can be planted outside the volcano. They can be planted on volcano turf, which can be obtained with a pitchfork. If dug up, the withered coffee bush will drop two twigs, but can be fertilized with ashes to enable them to be dug up and then picked up.

Obsidian Workbenches are also found here, along with the "Volcanic" crafting slot. Dragoon Dens, and Dragoons are often found in the Volcanic Biome, and overheating is common near lava inside the volcano. Volcanos are filled with skeletons, making it a good source of Bone Shards.

Mosquito Bugs

  • As the volcano is approached, the more the camera zooms out, the more the fps will start to go down dramatically (might not be an issue on high end machines).
  • When launching a boat cannon at a volcano, it is possible for the bombs to all roll to the same spot on the volcano, which results in none of them detonating.
  • Removing volcano via console command will cause player to be locked in zoom out, until they exit the game world. This will also not remove eruptions and spawning burning rocks.
  • If the volcano is in view as an eruption period ends, it may continue the eruption animation without spewing any missiles.
