  • For the love of God please stop acting like DST is a Don't Starve DLC when it's a completely different game with different mechanics. The new DST Wereforms act in a fundamentally different way from DS Werebeaver and you don't have to look in the code to figure that out. This is like merging an article about Orange, the fruit, and Orange, the colour, into one article because they sound the same. Please put them on a separate page. Thank you for listening.

    • I would love having a seperate page for DST items because they all differ from each other, but I'm honestly fine having one Woodie page as long as they include both DS and DST sections and states each part clearly. Of course, this is personal opinion! <3

    • I'm of the opinion that the DS and DST wiki should be separate because of how different they are. Wikis are usually used as a resource by newer players, and the vast majority of people coming in here are DST players, not DS players (I've met DST players who didn't know DS was even a thing). While a lot of mechanics and such are similar between DS and DST, there's a lot of big and small changes that are hard to list down in one article. Merged DS and DST article, such as the Cursed Woodie page, have information written on it that you'd assume are true for both games, but they're actually only true to DS. And it's hard to identify which belongs to which on a single article.

As a compromise, I think if DS and DST mechanics on a certain topic works too differently from each other, they should belong on two different articles. This is especially a concern if you realise that Klei is going to be reworking every character for DST, but not DS. When a DST player hears about a new DST update to one of the characters and their first instinct is to check the wiki, they'll be met with irrelevant information about an almost completely different character for a different game.

    • I think that the Cursed Woodie page for DS and DST can be done in one page, but I feel like splitting them is easier and more practical in the long run.
