The Swinesbury City Hall is a building exclusive to Don't Starve: Hamlet DLC. It is found on the first island, and will spawn Mayor Truffleston, the Mayor of the Swinesbury City.

In the City Hall can be bought The Deed of home ownership for 50 Oincs, which allows the player to unlock the Slanty Shanty, and thus having their own home; and also a Security Contract for 10 Oincs, that will allow the player to recruit a Royal Guard for their own protection.

Mayor Truffleston will also accept a Gold Nugget in exchange of 5 Oincs.

My City Hall

The structure's interior is similar to the Mayor's house on the first island. There are usable structures or furniture inside. Similar to the Slanty Shanty, a player may build within the City Hall. However, a player cannot enter My City Hall after dark (as of 29 Nov 18), making it less useful for storage or emergency shelter from darkness.

Tax Collection

The City Hall allows the player to collect tax from their townsfolk every 8 days [Verification Needed]. The morning of a "tax day", the character will indicate it is time to collect taxes. As indicated in the Town House recipe description, a Town House generates and houses one pig resident. A player collects a single Oinc from each resident the morning of tax day. Tax collection does not take place if the player is distant from the City Hall, eg. in caves, ruins, or another island. Additionally, the player will not receive Oincs from missed tax collections, where they were too far away.
