Salt Ponds are naturally spawning objects exclusive to The Gorge event in Don't Starve Together. Three of them are found in the city ruins area of the map. Fishing in a Salt Pond using a Fishing Rod will yield Salmon, while installing a Salt Rack allows for the gathering of Salt Crystals. It takes 2.5 minutes to grow Salt Crystals on a Salt Rack. Once a Salt Rack has been installed over a Salt Pond, it cannot be removed and the Pond can no longer be used for fishing.
