The Record is a craftable item exclusive to Don't Starve Together, introduced within the From Beyond updates. It can be crafted in the Decorations Filter with 1 Batilisk Wing and 1 Charcoal and requires an Alchemy Engine to prototype. There are 4 variants of Records that can be selected by choosing a skin.

A Record can be put into a Gramophone to play a song. If a Record is already in the Gramophone, it will be dropped when a new Record is inserted.

Following records are currently available:

Item Name Played
Record Classic
Creepy Forrest Creepy Forest
D.R. Style D.R. Style
E.F.S. E.F.S.

Prototype Tips[]

  • As record types are actually skins, a Clean Sweeper can be used on a record to change the song. This means that players will only need two Records, as a Record placed in the Gramophone requires another to take it out.

Placeholder Trivia[]

  • The Record was introduced in the Host of Horrors update.
  • The Record "Classic" is the same tune Maxwell's Phonograph plays.
  • The Record "Creepy Forest" is the same tune heard in certain game trailers or when near the Hermit Home at dusk or night when the Crabby Hermit enters the house, although muffled.
  • The Record "D.R. Style" is the same tune heard in certain game trailers
  • The Record "E.F.S." is the same tune that plays when fighting a boss-tier enemy in the Summer season such as Spider Queens or Treeguards, or Autumn in the Don't Starve Reign of Giants DLC and Don't Starve Together such as Bearger.
  • When inspecting the Record "Classic" as Wendy she states "I wondered if I'd ever hear that song again" which is a reference to how she used to hear the song played in her dreams after Abigail passed away before entering The Constant
