The Razor is a tool used to shave. It costs 2 Twigs and 2 Flint to craft, and it requires a Science Machine to prototype. Unlike other tools, it cannot be used as a weapon. Since it has no durability, the Razor has infinite uses.

Usage

The Razor can be used to shave Wilson's Beard, which provides leftover Beard Hair. To shave Wilson, simply click the Razor on him or right-click the Razor. Only Wilson can shave, and the amount of Beard Hair received depends on its length. The Razor can also be used to shave Beefalos when they are sleeping (whether during the night or when put to sleep using Sleep Darts, Amulets, or Pan Flutes), resulting in 3 Beefalo Wool. Using the Razor to acquire Beefalo Wool is the most efficient way to create the Beefalo Hat, rather than killing Beefalo one by one. The Beefalo will not wake up, but Beefalos in heat will sometimes wake up and attack a player who isn't wearing a Beefalo Hat. If the player is standing over a shaved Beefalo when day breaks, the Beefalo will attack the player.

Trivia

• It used to cost 30 Science Points to craft and had a value of 1-10 Science Points.
• Maxwell's quote on the razor is "If only the world had a single neck", which could be a reference to the Roman Emperor Caligula's remark, "Rome is just a city of necks waiting for me to chop".
