Rain is a climatic feature added in the A Little Rain Must Fall update. It occurs with some randomness during summer. It has effects on the player's sanity, light sources and crops. If the rain is at a high level lightning strikes may begin to strike objects like Trees . Objects that the lightning strikes are set on Fire, however, lightning will never strike the player directly.
Effects
Burn length
- Campfire's light will burn 2.5 times faster.
- Fire Pit's light will burn 2 times faster.
- Torch's light will burn 1.5 times faster.
Benefits
Crops will grow 3x faster during Rain.
Sanity
Rain also affects Sanity, causing it to drain the stronger the rain is. The rains Sanity drain can be stopped if the player equips an Umbrella.
