Penguin is a neutral Mob. They waddle away from the player but if the player attacks the Penguin, the penguin will "attack" back. The penguin's attacks aren't programmed to do damage yet. When a character examines the penguin, all they will say is "..." (with the exception of Wilson, Wes, and Maxwell).
It will drop 1 Meat when it is killed.
