An Ornate Chest is a Structure found in the Labyrinth biome of the Ruins. Ornate Chests are usually surrounded by Dangling Depth Dweller webbing.
Opening an Ornate Chest triggers a random effect such as spawning Dangling Depth Dwellers/Terrorbeaks, raising or lowering Health/Hunger/Sanity, or affecting the durability of inventory items. The character will often state, "It's a trap!".
Ornate Chests do not drop anything when destroyed.

Trivia
- The name "pandoraschest" is a reference to Pandora's Box, a box that contained all the evils in the world. This is referring to how the chest can spawn Terrorbeaks and Dangling Depth Dwellers.
