The Oar is a craftable Item in the Seafaring Tab, exclusive to Don't Starve Together, and introduced in Return of Them. It requires a Log to craft, and a Think Tank to prototype. An Oar can be used to move a Boat across the Ocean. The force applied to a Boat by a regular Oar amounts to ×0.25.
Driftwood Oar
The Driftwood Oar can also be crafted in the Seafaring Tab. It requires a Driftwood Piece to craft instead of a Log. In comparison to regular Oars, Driftwood Oars only last for 400 uses but apply more force (×0.35) to the Boat with each use.
Trivia
- Oars were introduced in the Turn of Tides update.
- Oars can also be used as Weapons, however, it is not advised to do so due to the low damage they deal.
