Similar to Mushrooms, Nettle Vines only grow when it has the "wet" effect on it, meaning they grow naturally during Humid Season because of the Heavy Fog and Rain. They can be made to grow in all seasons by planting them near a Sprinkler. They take 3 days to bloom. They can be grown instantly by Wickerbottom's Applied Horticulture when they have the "wet" effect as well. Nettle Vines only bloom on Deep Rainforest turf (in which it spawns) and Dense Turf. If they are planted to other turf, they will wither and never bloom.

Nettle Vine is a plant exclusive to the Hamlet DLC. It can be harvested without the need of a tool, and will provide one Nettle.

Prototype Tips

 • The sparse placement of Nettle Vines combined with weather-bound harvest availability poses a significant time-sink for

players who choose to gather Nettles early on. However, the Fountain of Youth island is guaranteed to contain 2 large clusters of Nettle Vines within the deep rainforest where the player first emerges from the ruins.
