Morsels are meat dropped by Birds, Jackalopes, and Gobblers when they are killed. They can be eaten raw or cooked to retrieve hunger points and health points.

"Red Bird"

The creatures informally known as red bird and crow are a difficult creature for any hobby hunter; considering such, it's ill-advised to go chasing the flying meals around when you could chose alternatives! Create a bird trap and bait it with the seeds it leaves behind when scared off.

The jackalopes have proven to be the easiest way to acquire morsels. They make no attempt to run around anything in the path of their safe haven (rabbit holes) and it takes very little time to catch one in a trap. You can use a shovel, spear, axe, or pick-axe to attack one and it takes only one swing. They will run towards their rabbit hole when spooked, so be sure to initiate the attack command when on the opposite side of their hole. That way you will run at them, they will run towards their hole, and you will both meet in the middle.

Selflessness in Your Meat

As it would valiantly appear, the omnivorous creatures pigs enjoy some sort of meat as their most valued feasts. Despite their apparent disgust in you prior to being given meat it would appear they dearly adore and follow you for a full 24 hours. They mimic your abilities and actions, thus they are very useful for attacking monster dens or harvesting trees.

Their self-acclaimed "king" will give you a nugget of gold if you offer him a morsel. He will continue this trade as long as you have meat to give him, thus making it an efficient way of acquiring gold for machines and tools.

Food Purposes

When eaten raw, it yields 12 hunger points and 2 health points. When cooked it yields 16-17 of hunger points and 4-5 health points. (unconfirmed)

When used in combination of the Crock Pot and fillers, or more meat, you make kabobs and meaty stew.

Caution with Your Meat

It is best to keep morsels in your inventory, a chest, or backpack. Dropping it on the ground can lure monsters, which can prove harmful and helpful. Spiders will eat the morsels and then proceed to attack you, but meat can be used to deter Hounds . (See the full Hound page for details.)
