Moonlenses are items exclusive to Don't Starve Together, introduced in A New Reign. They are created by placing a Gem on a Cratered Moonrock socket, which works similar to placing Purple Gems on a Telelocator Focus.
When dropped on ground, Moonlenses will appear on the Map for everyone in that world, serving as a marker, even in unexplored areas.
In case of the Purple, Blue, and Orange Moonlens, they are also used for crafting the Ocuvigil, Moon Dial, and the The Lazy Deserter, respectively. Each structure using a Moonlens to craft will keep its global map marker. The Purple Moonlens is also required to complete construction on upgrading the Florid Postern to the Celestial Portal.
