Moonlenses are Items exclusive to Don't Starve Together, introduced in A New Reign. They are created by placing a Gem in a Cratered Moonrock socket, which works similar to placing Purple Gems on a Telelocator Focus.

When dropped on ground, Moonlenses will appear on the Map for everyone in that world, serving as a marker, even in unexplored areas.

In case of the Purple, Blue, and Orange Moonlens, they are also used for crafting the Ocuvigil, Moon Dial, and the The Lazy Deserter, respectively. Each structure using a Moonlens to craft will keep its global map marker. The Purple Moonlens is also required to complete construction on upgrading the Florid Postern to the Celestial Portal.

• Moonlenses were introduced in the East or West, Base is Best update.
• Prior to the A Little Fixer Upper update, Moonlenses had a different texture, being purely white with no shading.
• There are different Character quotes for each type of Moonlens.
• The Iridescent Gem cannot be socketed into a Cratered Moonrock to create a Moonlens, despite being a gem.
