Because the 'original one' can not be edit at this moment, there's no 'Game info' part but only 'community' part, that would be a disaster if the chinese player want to check out for the infomation. If you guys can give me to edit on the original one, I can make some change of that page.

Recently I see this game is amazing, but when I start to play it, I found that it is really difficult for the beginners, then I go to look for information of the game and I found an chinese wiki, but I want double check and can i (or/and we chinese translator) can quick direct copy and translation to chinese wiki (http://zh.dont-starve-game.wikia.com), because too little information with my language.
I noticed the wiki has a page about the Rock Lobsters but doesnt have them under the creature/monster/animal catagories. As they are a cave specific creature I understand them not being grouped with surface level mobs. Also, the lobster's page doesnt have its AP or AR and the AR doesnt have its own link to mob characteristics and in mob characteristics it doesnt mention AR. Also, I believe the new features section at the top of the wiki could house the link to caves, and maybe cave creatures as there is no direct link to them via those menus. Also a fireflies link should be added to the animals, as butterflys are there too. And lastly, as with cave creatures and their links, perhaps something towards the cave resources could be added somewhere. Thanks for your time and if possible id like to learn how to do this stuff myself so i dont have to bug you. I see how to edit stuff within a page but the site layout itself in the top with the mouse over menus is what Im talking about.
I use the source code but it doesnt have the links im talking about in it. The popout menus under Game InfoNew FeaturesCraftables I guess they are categories, Im not sure how to edit them, unless I am just somehow not seeing them in the code.

Sorry about that, I was doing something on another wiki. The navigation could afford to lose some things, too.

I dont know where to find those files cuz I dont have the game myself but play on my brothers ps4 when I go there. I guess they maybe would be in the version history, but its not so important. Im thinking about whether or not you have to stop running for them to attack, like a spider, or keep running and they will attack, then come back and attack, like hounds or koalefant. Assuming your already engaged, for kiting purposes. And the RS relative to roads and walking canes and the like. Whether its RS=6+6*.5 on roads and 6+6*.25 with cane and 6+6*.75 for road with cane and the last one 6+6 for cane, road and armor. As well as if its 6-6*%reduction in webs and (6+6*.25)-%reduction in web or something similar.
No mob will be able to attack you as long as you move as no mob can attack while running. For them being able to attack you, you either must be standing still or running in their direction. Speed bonuses are additive, meaning if you have a walking cane and are walking on a road you'll get 50% more speed (25+25)
I meant as in a spider cant catch up to you to attack you, so you have to let it get near to kite it, whereas a hound will catch up and attack and then you counter. Just that slower mobs you have to bait and faster mobs you have to counter. I figured the speed worked as such, but Im pretty sure the road gives you 50% speed and coblestone gives 25% but no one knows how much a web slows you down? I cant recall anything else capable of reducing movement speed, except the equippedable torso pieces but it seems that the walking cane on webs cancels out the speed reduction and might still increase speed a bit more than normal so Idk... I wonder what the speed % reduction is on webs.

Its just something I noted, the slight difference in kiting mobs depending on their speed and when you can hit them as much as allowed before dodging again. With slower mobs you come to it, dodge, hit, dodge and repeat and with faster mobs they come to you and you dodge by continueing to run and then hit and dodge. Its really nothing, since you can do the same process of kiting regardless of their speed, save the few mobs that dont chase and attack you. Really for me its just how I remember the things, like with spiders or bees, I cant get in hit unless I let it attack first, but if i outrun it I can get in a hit when it turns away and before it reengages me and with hounds or merm or koalefant its the same way except you usually dont have to run back towards them because they will catch up to you.... though I suppose its just as dangerous either way to kite them, as you always have to bait them to attack and dodge before you can get so many hits in, depending on the mobs AP. So again, its really nothing important, I just like to keep it in mind, cuz the slower mobs are easier to kill and get away from their groups by kiting but not really kiting, hitting them in their back and repeating that till its a safe distance from the group before kiting and I tend to rant so sorry.

I just convinced admins of the community to change the URL of the german wiki from "de.dont-starve-german.wikia.com" to "de.dont-starve-game.wikia.com" as all of the wikis had addresses of the same kind (like fr.dont-starve-game... for the french, ja.dont-starve-game... for the japanese, etc.) except for the german. Well, long story short, they changed the URL and I wanted to ask whether you could replace the link on the main page with the new one. Actually there is a redirection but I'd just like the URLs to be kind of standardised.
If there occur any problems, I'd like to be informed about them.

Recently I discovered this amazing game and I was fascinated with this, but when I begin to play it, I found that it is really difficult for the beginners, then I began to look for information of the game and I found an spanish wiki, but I think it's really poor, little information (Today this wiki only has 51 articles) and it has few people working it...
Then I search for more information because I was'nt comfortable with the information I found on the spanish wiki, then I found this wiki and the information I was looking for, and I thought that translating some information of this wiki could be helpful to some spanish speakers that were playing this awesome game and don't found enough information in the spanish wiki, and don't speak english.
Therefore, I want to ask you for permisiion to translate some information of your wiki to the spanish one... If you let me translate, I will make the corresponding gratefulness in the articles that I will translate...
I'll set it, do you use a high enough resolution to see if it works? My is still 1360x768 so I won't know how it looks. I am a little concerned that Wilson will get split in half, as that is how I though Fluid worked, let me know.
Update: I forgot that the background image has a file size limit. I hoped it was removed when Fluid went live, but maybe they just upped it a little. The current limit is 300k, the image you sent me is over 400k, so it will need to be reduced a little.
And yes, res is high nuff by fluid standards. they require at least 2100 width and i did 2100x1080. If you use lower res screen you can always zoom out to symulate the larger display. All should be dandy as the british say :D
So when I upload the newer versions the background completely disappears at my resolution. I think we need to look closer at how fluid works. As I understand it Fluid is supposed to adjust the image so it works with different resolutions. It does this by splitting the background image in the center and moving it to the sides of the screen. That's why I was worried about Wilson getting cut in half. The problem is I'm not exactly sure this is how it works.
Im not sure why things happened the way they did. I was more like thinking the "no split option". Perhaps you thought otherwise or... not sure really. Is there anythink I (we) can do to enhance this contact? Dont think wall is the best thing, id really rather have one good long chat while trying to figure and fix things. perhaps experiment a little.

Ok, I set the new image you sent me, let me know if it looks good to you (talthough I probably won't get your post until tomorrow). The No-split option doesn't appear until the width of the image is 2100 pixels, so I can't us it right now.
Also two questions: on the new image there is a lot of black space under the actual image (because the image height is less that the previous background. Do you normally see space down there on higher resolutions? I originally designed the cave one so that at least it started getting dark down there but I've never know how it looked. The second is more of a request, could you fade the inside edge of the image so that when it comes away from the content-space there's not just a straight edge? Thanks for your work on this btw.

You forgot to change the background color to black since everything else on the background is, that is gradient transition is black. When you will zoom out on your screen in the browser you use (ctrl + [minus key] should work) you will see the nasty green-ish crudely visible.
Special:ThemeDesigner >> Customize >> Background >> Main >> Hex: 000000. This will smooth out color transtion. Please, set that.
The no split comment was FOR images that were 2100px in width, the last batch you said didnt work, nevermind anyway.
Answer1: I made the image the way it is because i had to crop the source image of the frames and signs and after that had to resize it so that wilson would be visible near-whole (and not like fish on a stick only). After that i addad the gradient transision to smooth out the blend in effect and sadly thats how "short" the image area have gotten. Without breaking the image aspect ratio there is nothing i could do. Well.. i could disregard the croping step and just not care for signs and frame of the original but i dont think this would give a good effect, thats why i did it in the first place. The way i see it the side images ideally woud have to be like (200-300)x(800-1080) to nicely cover from top to bottom. And those are some tall and narrow aspect ratios.
As for the dark space underneath. Any display that is, natively not while zoomed out in the browser, more then 800px in height (mine is 1080) will use the mentioned main color, set in the themedesigner to fill that space as well as space on the sides of the image, as i mentioned above. Visible on displays with very high horizontal resolution like say 2560x1600 which are not all that uncommon.
Answer2: I could but the way fluid works the inner edge (like the point with half the fire on the right side) never gets away from the content space. It's all explained in that link you posted yourself. If a given display is <1030 width the background is never visible, none whatsoever. The only thing one sees is the content area; if 1030-1600 all the scaling happens in the content area and the side images are stuck to the content space border. If 1600-1920 the page looks zoomed out and the background image is also stuck to the content space border. If >1920 more of the background image becomes visible (like the rest of wilson's hair or trees on the right). All in all, i dont see any need to use gradient there because there is nothing really to smoothly transition from.
Is anything broken for you? Do you, yourself have this "hard edge"? If not where did you come up with the idea? You should also have posted how this looks on your display so that i could see what to do to fix things, if they need fixing. Unless i completely missed what what you mean. Anyway id also like to see how this looks on your display, with a detailed explantion or just edit the screenshot to point what is wrong, where the said transision you think is needed and so on.
One more thing. We should think on filling the blackness in the middle but the trick is the filling has to be either on the half (left or right) of blackness or on both but not continous as the background image is cut in half and we do not want it be in the place of the cut, like wilson's hand with torch was last time.

Strange, I thought I did set the background color to black, I'll fix it. As for how fluid splits the image, I guess I just misunderstood how it works since I can't see it myself. It actually looks fine on my display, my questions were only meant to better understand how it looked for you and whether there might be future problems. I thought the image would stick to the edge of the monitor, not the content space. I appriciate your work on this, and I'm sorry that my limited time is slowing it down. I'm going to grant you temp. admin rights so you can make adjustments yourself, since you obviously have a grasp of how it works. That should make it easier. Let me know if you still need to see how my display looks, but as I said it's fine right now.
Thank you. As long as i know it works fine i dont really need an image since a get an idea. The matter would be different if you had some kind of problems, bcos its best to see to solve it. Since this image is based on wiki HQ psd template i suspect it to work flawlessly. If on both, so different resolutions (mine: 1920x1080 and yours: 1360x768) it works it will work on any display the way it should, i am sure of that.
One thing left to do is to think of what would fit nicely to fill the blackness in the middle, behind the main content space. Something to serve the purtpose wilson had in the last background. I mentioned this in my last post. Id really like for this wiki to have a kick ass background. Do you have some old ideas that were never made real? Russian wiki has a very cool wallpaper background but i dont wanna bluntly steal that. Perhaps some brainstorm general discussion regarding this?

Edit1: Ok, not sure what was the problem but its fixed now. Black main and middle color. Not sure what more should i do with settings, i mean i am new here dont wanna mess up things that work just fine like transparency, though it is a thing to consider when and if we decide on some neat thing in the middle.
Edit2: While i have the chance ill update the top nav bar so that links there won't go thru redirs if not needed like Chess Monsters. Dont think anyone will mind that... I hope.

Something recognizable probably, like a hound or maybe a snarling spider, what do you think? A discusion is not a bad idea either, but our community is slowing down recently so it will probably take awhile.
EDIT: maybe the Shadow Watcher... or just a shadow creature, since they will be in monocolor behind the content space anyway...

Alrighty. I guess i'm ready to relinquish the admin superpowers :P Its never pleasant to get rid of nice toys but i think the more veteran admin crew does quite the job, thus no point in me keeping the not yet earned position. Besides, i got to be temp, fill out a particular purpose and i think i did that. That and some small things as wlell, like fixing double redirs, etc. Anyway, thank you, was fun while it lasted :D
