I know that you're technically on a wiki break, but I've seen your name in the activity stream a few times, so I might as well try:
I've been thinking lately that this wiki could really use some more reinforcement on the adminstrative side. Luvian has now joined the team, but we don't know when/if Deiaa will return. My own activity has dropped significantly in the last few months, too. Partly because I was busy with work and other projects, partly because my passion for DS(T) has been fading a bit lately. Maybe it will suddenly reignite again, but in the meantime, I definitely don't want this to become a situation where my inactivity blocks the wiki from moving forward in any meaningful way, while my position blocks new people from taking over.
You've been an experienced, prolific and diligent editor and Custodian for this wiki for a very long time. You have shown detailed knowledge regarding both content and structure, and have frequently engaged with the community both on the wiki and on the forums. Therefore, if the other active admins agree, I'd like to offer you a promotion to the Admin user group!
I would be really happy to see you join the team (given that your other obligations permit it). Please take your time to consider this offer and let us know what you think.
Congratulations on becoming an admin, Bluegeist! Very good to have you on board! :)
If you like, you can add some custom styling to your user name, message wall links and comments backgrounds. You can do so in Wikia.css (at the bottom of the script). If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. You may also want to protect your user profile against unwanted edits as it's going to be a bit more exposed from now on.
Hey, it's Terra M Welch from the Klei forums, I was just wondering if you'd be able to update information on this wiki involving DST's insulation mechanic based on some more accurate information.
Currently I've been called out by a user on the forums being told my information is incorrect, when it is not so, I've tested the temperature and insulation mechanics quite extensively in DST and found out that my info on that thread is more accurate to how it works in DST then this wiki's info on it.
If you or any other big contributor to this wiki could update the info related to that, that would be nice.
Hello Terra, I did see your post on the insulation mechanic. You are completely correct regarding the lack of accurate DST info on this wiki, it's something we need to work on for sure. Looking at the Overheating/Freezing pages, I see that they are ridiculously outdated. And I have to admit, I'm struggling to figure out how to incorporate DST specific info. These mechanics are complicated and I'm not confident in doing it justice. But I am going to try, and hopefully other contributors who are more privy to this can help too.
Thank you for sharing this info, and helping to correct the wiki's mistakes. ^-^
Hey Terra, thanks for bringing this to our attention!
Have you considered creating a wiki account and helping us provide more accurate DST info since you're kind of the expert on the topic now? Wiki editing isn't hard and is actually quite fun. And we could always use more help, especially from someone who is able to take a look at the details and verify information.
I want proof that it exists in the code currently, so I can verify it exists myself. Is there a spawn code for it? Any keyword so one could search the files? If not, I don't trust it enough to allow on any page. (This includes any other image from the same source, like the cyber pig and house)
Hiya! I noticed you recently filled out a food infobox for Poison Dartfrog Legs. I tried to fill one out for Bean Bugs but the template only allowed me to put in the spawn codes and clicking "Add More Information" did nothing. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.
Hello! You aren't doing anything wrong. This seems to be a Visual Editor thing. I honestly do not know how to make it let you fill out the whole template, as I exclusively use the source code editor. I just tried it out myself and I'm stumped as to why it won't let you add more fields! I'm sorry that I cannot help you with Visual Editor. I recommend in the future to:
go to any template's documentation page (like this one, for the Food Infobox)
copy and paste the code into the page you want to edit (using source editor)
fill in the info
I should also mention that you can also go to an existing page with the template you want to use and copy/paste from there. Just be sure to change everything. That's what I did for the Bean Bugs page: I just copy/pasted from the Poison Dartfrog Legs page and changed what needed to be changed! This is all in source code editor.
I hope this helps a little bit! And thanks for all your contributions!
