The Mant is a Mob exclusive to the Hamlet DLC. It spawns from an Antcomb Home as Larvae, inside a Mant Hill. Mants can mostly be found inside the Mant Hill, or wandering around it. Careful not to mistake it with its cousin, the Warrior Mant, another species of Mant (but way more agressive) that lives in deeper stages of the Mant Hill.
They are hostile Mobs, and will attack the player if getting too close. However, they will first warn the player by giving them an angry look, and will attack only if they get very close. Wearing a full set of Mant Armor as a disguise can prevent this (i.e. Mant Suit + Mant Mask), and will make them neutral.
Their speech can also be translated with the Pherostone, however owning one without the Mant disguise won't prevent them from being aggressive.
Upon death, they always drop something, either one Monster Meat or one Chitin. When examined by a character, the displayed name will be “Drone”, followed by a six-number figure.
Mants will consume any food left on the ground.

Tips
- You can acknowledge if you are too close to a Mant by looking at its eyes. If it wears an angry look (frowned eyebrows), you are too close, and should probably keep back.
