The Magnifying Glass is craftable Item exclusive to the Hamlet DLC. It is found in the Treasure Hunting Tab, requires an Iron Ore, a Blue Gem and Twigs to craft, and an Alchemy Engine to prototype. It is a tool that be used to investigate Peculiar Objects and to light burnable objects on fire from a distance. Peculiar objects are also found in Hamlet compatible shipwrecked world. It is also a starting item for Warbucks.

• After using a Magnifying Glass to investigate an object, the character will state clearly whether something can be found or not. In the first case, removing the object, e.g. chopping down a Tree and digging up its stump, will reveal a hidden treasure.
