A log dropped from a freshly cut down tree
The log is an basic building material that is used for many things in the game. Logs can be refined to become Planks which open up for more building opportunities.
Log are dropped from chopped down trees (with an axe). Pinecones will also drop dependant upon how large the tree is. More logs drop based on how large the tree is.
There are three sizes of tree, yeilding 1,2 or 3 logs. The stumps of trees can also be dug up to give a further log. The winter and barren looking trees can also be cut down but do not yeild logs until dug using the shovel, then a single log is produced.
The log is an early game item that should be sought after right away.
