The Lichen Meadow is a Cave biome, part of the Wilds, and constitutes the entrance to the Ruins in . It connects to the Muddy Light Bulb Biome and has the same Mud Turf, but the Lichen, Nightmare Fissures, Slimy (Algae) Pillars, Ponds, and abundance Slurpers and Depths Worms make it obviously different and much more dangerous. Sometimes Splumonkeys and Cave Banana Trees will mix in with the Lichen.
After a swath of Lichen and Nightmare Fissures, there's usually a "Wet Wilds" or "Ruins Wilds" sub-biome which provides a bit of a rest in relative safety before the Splumonkey Pods and ruins proper. This area can be sprawling and multiply branched. One or two branches lead to the Ruins proper, with Thulecite walls and Nightmare Lights. The rest just sprawl expansively, exposing the survivor to ever more Depths Worms, Slurpers and Splumonkeys.
