The Ham Bat is a Meat Food Melee Weapon which deals the same amount of damage as a Spear, but has less durability. It also spoils after 10 Days regardless of use. Its primary purpose is being humorous and renewable. The Ham Bat can be eaten and fills 25 Hunger; however it also damages Health and Sanity. If dropped on the ground, Spiders will eat it as with any other meat. If Pigs eat 4 Hambats they will turn into Werepigs.

Trivia

• The Ham Bat makes an appearance as a Ham Shank in the popular online first-person shooter Team Fortress 2 to promote Don't Starve shortly before its release.
