Gunpowder is a Science item added in the A Little Rain Must Fall Update. It must be placed near an object and lit on fire. Upon combusting, it will proceed to explode after a few seconds, destroying objects in the immediate area, dealing 200 damage per blast. During the few seconds, the player will have time to run away.

- Gunpowder can only be ignited with some sort of fire or another gunpowder explosion
- Gunpowder explosions can cause structures to drop their resource, even if they are on fire.
