Guano is an item dropped by Batilisks similar to Manure, colored grayish-white. It can occasionally be found where Batilisks are commonly found, such as near unplugged Sinkholes and on Stalagmite Terrain.

Icon Tools Usage[]

Guano can be used to Fertilize the vegetables produced in a Farm and helps them grow faster, unless it is Winter. It is 1.5× more effective than Manure, although it cannot be used to craft Farm plots. Guano can also be used to fertilize Grass Tufts or Berry Bushes after they have been dug up with a Shovel and replanted, although 1 Rot is just as effective for this.

Guano creates an aesthetic gas cloud when used as a fuel source.

In Don't Starve Together and the Hamlet DLC, Wormwood can use Guano to restore Health (3 Health Meter per use in DST, 2 Health Meter per use in Hamlet).

In DST, Guano can also be used on Farm Soil Turf to add Nutrients (+16 Manure). There is also a 33% Chance for Guano to drop when feeding Seeds to a Bird in a Birdcage. It will, however, appear much smaller than the Guano dropped by Batilisks.

Placeholder Trivia[]

  • In real life, guano is a great fertilizer as well, although the bat variant is the weakest version of guano available.
