Graves or Mounds are world objects that can be found in large shrouds of fog, they can be with a Headstone beside them or just a small pile of dirt.
Each grave dug with a Shovel has a 10% chance to spawn a Ghost, otherwise the player gets a Gravedigger Item, Blue Gem, Red Gem, Gears, or Nightmare Fuel. If no Ghost is spawned, it has 10% chance to be an Amulet, otherwise it will be one of the remaining items with equal probability. Once dug, the grave will not respawn, and each world has a limited number of them.
Digging a grave takes 4% of your shovel durability (equivalent to 1 digging actions) or 1% if using a Regal Shovel.
Each grave dug causes the player to lose 10 points of Sanity.
