Gold Nuggets are acquired by mining Boulders with gold veins on their side; by mining Stalagmites; from the Pig King when fed or given Gravedigger Items; lying on the ground in Graveyards or in Rockyland biomes; and in Caves during randomly occurring Earthquakes.

Gold Nuggets are used to create many items such as a Luxury Axe and Science Machine. Like all mineral items, they are food sources for Slurtles and Snurtles.
