The Glommer is a creature from the Reign of Giants DLC. Although it resembles a flying Spider, it is non-hostile. When killed, they can drop Glommer's Wings and Glommer's Goop, and falls asleep after being hit by 3 Sleep Darts. When tamed, it will begin to follow the player and provides a Sanity aura of +6.25/min. They will drop Glommer's Goop once every 2-4 days.
Taming
Glommers will be found during a full moon at a Glommer's Statue, along with a Glommer's Flower. By picking the flower the Glommer will become your pet, similar to Chester and his Eye Bone.
Trivia
- A Glommer occasionally bounces up and down while idle.
- It is possible to kill a Glommer, and have it respawn the next full moon.
- It's impossible to get a pet Glommer if you are playing as Woodie, as his Werebeaver transformation will prevent him from befriending it.
- The Glommer makes sounds comparable to Bees and Bunnymen, making a sort of "zeritzer" sound, or even "it's her, it's her".
- The flower can be placed in Chester, causing the Glommer to follow Chester around.
- Killing a Glommer will raise the player's naughtiness by 50, making it the only creature that will cause Krampus to immediately spawn if killed by the player regardless of previous naughtiness level.
Bugs
- Sometimes the Glommer will not spawn when it's fullmoon.
- Logging on during a full moon will sometimes render the Glommer Flower unpickable.
- Logging off while flower is on the ground may cause a bug where the Glommer stops following the flower and may begin roaming constantly. (No fix found)
