The Fashion Melon is a wearable Dress item in the Reign of Giants DLC.  It requires 1 Watermelon and 3 Twigs to craft and a Science Machine to prototype.

It grants 120 points of protection from Overheating and will drain the player's Sanity by 2 points per minute. Despite providing some protection from Rain, the Fashion Melon will gradually increase the player's Wetness up to a maximum of 33.

The Fashion Melon does not have a durability, but instead rots after 3 days, similar to the Ham Bat, Garland, and Ice Cube.

Wearing the Fashion Melon while playing with WX-78 will cause the player to take damage periodically.

• The Fashion Melon was first revealed in the "A Feet Of Strength" trailer for the Reign Of Giants March 12, 2014 beta.
