Dreadstone Outcrop

The Dreadstone Outcrop is a object exclusive to Don't Starve Together, adden in the From Beyond updates. It will appear overtop of the first Nightmare Fissure that a player approaches while there is an active Shadow Rift.

The Dreadstone Outcrop will spawn Shriek, Rasp, and Jitters if the player gets too close. In addition, it is surrounded by Miasma, like the rift itself. The object will remain so long as at least one of the three Ink Blights are alive, or until the player leaves the area. After the death of the creatures, the Dreadstone Outcrop will disappear if it has not been mined, leaving no items.

The Dreadstone Outcrop is considered too hard for most tools and requires a Pick/Axe, Brightshade Smasher, Weather Pain or the explosion of a Brightshade Bomb to mine. When mined it will drop 3 Dreadstone.
