This is a policy page for Don't Starve Wiki.
It contains widely accepted standards that editors should normally follow. Any significant changes must require community consensus. You can make a discussion in forum.

Custodians is a unique user group right in Don't Starve Wiki. Custodians emphasize on the management of articles and files, which is different from Rollback. Any wrongly named pages and files can either be renamed or moved by custodians easily. Also custodians can set protection for pages in case of vandalism, and edits made by custodians will be marked as patrolled automatically.

What are the rights of custodians?

Change protection levels and edit protected pages (protect)
Delete pages (delete)
Have one's own edits automatically marked as patrolled (autopatrol)
Mark others' edits as patrolled (patrol)
Move files (movefile)
Move pages (move)
Move pages with their subpages (move-subpages)
Not be affected by rate limits (noratelimit)
Not create redirects from source pages when moving pages (suppressredirect)
Overwrite existing files (reupload)
Quickly rollback the edits of the last user who edited a particular page (rollback)
Undelete a page (undelete)
View deleted history entries, without their associated text (deletedhistory)
View deleted text and changes between deleted revisions (deletedtext)

What are the expectations of custodians?

Custodians are only given to editors who are highly trusted and experienced in this wiki, because they are given very powerful tools to help maintain the wiki.

Being a custodian is not a trophy. You only get the tools that deal with issues easier.
Maintain consistency of format and enforce Manual of Style.
Protect articles and userpages from vandalism if it is necessary.
Avoid controversy in editing.
Acquire community consensus in Forum when moving or renaming popular content.
Be friendly and answer any inquiries.
Have a huge contribution to the wiki.
Never involve in a major vandalism or bans.
