The Coaching Whistle is a craftable Item exclusive to Don't Starve Together. It can be crafted only by Wolfgang in the Survivor Items Filter using 1 Flint and 1 Rope after unlocking the Coach Wolfgang skil.

Only Wolfgang can use the Coaching Whistle in his normal form. While active it motivates nearby players and Followers (including other players' follower) every 10-40 seconds within 6.25 Pitchfork tiles (or 25 Wall units). Players will receive a Sanity gain of 5 and followers will receive a 9.5 second double Damage buff.

Wolfgang continues coaching even after dropping the Whistle, however reverting to wimpy or mighty form cancels the coaching. This means it is difficult to fight alongside followers as attacking will increase Wolfgang's mightiness until the effect is eventually cancelled when he becomes mighty. Followers double damage buff will roughly only be active one third of the time due to how long the average for Wolfgang to whistle is.
