Clothes are any in-game Items that can be worn and provide the Character a variety of bonuses. Unlike Armor, Clothes do not mitigate damage from attacks and usually their Durability is decreased over time as long as they're equipped. Bonuses from different Clothes that can be equipped at the same time will stack with each other.
All the Clothes, except for those that need specific fuel or spoil over time, can be repaired with a Sewing Kit, which will add 5 more days of usage, until fully repaired.
Chest Clothes
The Belt of Hunger lasts 8 Days, reduces the rate at which Hunger drains by 40% and restores 2 per minute while worn. | |
The Breezy Vest lasts 15 Days, has an insulation factor of 60 against Freezing and restores 2 per minute while worn. In the Reign of Giants (RoG), Shipwrecked (SW) and Don't Starve Together (DST) DLCs it also gives 20% water resistance. | |
The Dapper Vest lasts 10 Days, has an insulation factor of 60 against Freezing and restores 3.3 per minute while worn. | |
The Floral Shirt lasts 15 Days, it has an insulation factor of 240 against Overheating and restores 3.3 per minute while worn. | |
The Hibearnation Vest lasts 7 Days, reduces the rate at which Hunger drains by 25% and restores 4.5 per minute while worn. It also has an insulation factor of 240 against Freezing. | |
The Puffy Vest lasts 15 Days, has an insulation factor of 240 against Freezing and restores 2 per minute while worn. | |
The Rain Coat lasts 10 Days and provides 100% water resistance. It also shields the Character from Lightning and electric damage. | |
The Summer Frest lasts 8 Days, has an insulation factor of 120 against Overheating and restores 3.3 per minute while worn. It also provides 20% water resistance | |
The Snakeskin Jacket lasts 10 days, has an insulation factor of 60 against Freezing and provides 70% water resistance. It also shields the Character from Lightning and electric damage. | |
The Windbreaker lasts 15 days, prevents the player from being slowed by Strong Winds and restores 2 per minute while worn. It also provides 20% water resistance. | |
The Blubber Suit lasts 8 days, has an insulation factor of 240 and provides 100% water resistance. |
Head Clothes
The Beefalo Hat lasts 10 Days, has an insulation factor of 240 against Freezing and protects the wearer from Beefalo during mating season while worn. | |
The Bush Hat has no durability. When used while equipped it will make the Character hide under it and be undetectable by Mobs that hadn't already seen them. | |
The Cat Cap lasts 10 Days, has an insulation factor of 60 against Freezing and restores 3.3 per minute while worn. | |
The Eyebrella lasts 9 Days, has an insulation factor of 240 against Overheating and provides 100% water resistance. It also shields the Character from Lightning and electric damage. | |
The Feather Hat lasts 8 Days and restores 2 per minute. When worn, the Feather Hat attracts more flying Birds to land on the ground more often. | |
The Fashion Melon spoils after 3 Days like most Food Items, has an insulation factor of 120 against Overheating and drains 2 per minute while worn. It also provides 20% water resistance but nonetheless makes the Character wet over time until they reach 33 Wetness. | |
The Ice Cube spoils after 4 days like most Food Items but it can be replenished with Ice. It has an insulation factor of 240 against Overheating and cools down the Character until their body temperature doesn't exceed 35 °C. It also slows down the Character by 10% and makes them wet over time until they reach 50 Wetness. | |
The Garland spoils after 6 days like most Food Items and restores 1.33 per minute while worn. | |
The Miner Hat provides Light for 1 Day while worn before requiring to be refueled. In RoG, SW and DST it also gives 20% water resistance. | |
While worn, the Moggles let the Character see in the dark for 1 Day and a half in the form of a negative filter, before requiring to be refueled. | |
The Rabbit Earmuffs last 5 Days and they have an insulation factor of 60 against Freezing. | |
The Rain Hat lasts 10 Days and provides 70% water resistance. It also shields the Character from Lightning and electric damage. | |
The Spiderhat lasts 2 minutes(1/4th of a Day) and drains 2 per minute. Equipping the Spiderhat will make up to 10 nearby Spiders (except for those spawned by Spider Queens) follow the player and fight for him, just like other followers. The Spiderhat will always be dropped by Spider Queens. | |
The Straw Hat has no durability. Its only use is as an ingredient to craft other hats. In RoG, SW and DST though it also gives 20% water resistance and lasts for 5 Days. It also has an insulation factor of 60 agaisnt Overheating. | |
The Tam o' Shanter lasts 25 Days, has an insulation factor of 120 against Freezing and restores 6.7 per minute while worn. The Tam has a 25% chance to be dropped by MacTusk. | |
The Top Hat lasts 8 Days and restores 3.3 per minute while worn. In RoG, SW and DST it also gives 20% water resistance. | |
The Winter Hat lasts 10 Days, has an insulation factor of 120 against Freezing and restores 1.3 per minute while worn. | |
The Snakeskin Hat lasts 8 Days, has an insulation factor of 60 and provides 70% water resistance. It also shields the Character from Lightning and electric damage. | |
The Shark Tooth Crown lasts 9 Days and restores 6.6 per minute if worn while on a Boat. | |
The Particulate Purifier lasts 10 Days. It protects the character from being Poisoned through gas attacks. | |
The Sleek Hat lasts 3 Days and increases the movement speed of characters by 25% when worn. It also provides some resistance to Strong Winds and restores 2 per minute while worn. | |
The Dumbrella lasts 12 days, has an insulation factor of 240 against Overheating and provides 100% water resistance. It also shields the Character from Lightning and electric damage. | |
The Brain of Thought allows the character to prototype items without a research station and unlocks hidden recipes. It has 4 uses. |
