The Clever Disguise is a character-specific Hat Item exclusive to Wurt in Don't Starve Together. It is crafted in the Clothing Filter and Survivor Items Filter using one Freshwater Fish, one Cut Reeds, and two Twigs.

Wearing the Clever Disguise allows a player to be considered a Merm by other Merms, King of the Merms and Bunnymen (allowing Webber and Wortox to not be attacked on sight by Bunnymen).

Trivia

• The Clever Disguise was introduced to Don't Starve Together in the Wurt Character Update.
• Much like it's counterpart the Shamlet Mask, the design of the Clever Disguise appears to be based on Groucho glasses.
