The three pieces required to assemble the Celestial Altar can be found scattered around the Lunar MineBiome, trapped in Inviting Formations. They will be dropped when mined, and then must be placed in a Celestial Fissure in the correct order: Base, Orb, Idol. This will create the completed Celestial Altar. They can be carried the same way as Chess Pieces or Suspicious Marble.
The Celestial Altar was introduced in the Turn of Tides update.
A fully constructed Celestial Altar also shares a similar appearance to the Moon Rock Idol, possibly hinting that the Altar is honoring the physical appearance of the Moon.
