Wickerbottom

Green Caps are Vegetable Food Items that can be harvested on Green Mushrooms or Green Mushtrees. A raw Green Cap will take away a hefty 50 Sanity Meter when eaten, while also restoring 12.5 Hunger Meter. It has no effect on health. Green Caps can also be used as Crock Pot filler with a 0.5 vegetable value.

Woodlegs

A Cooked Green Cap is a Vegetable Food Item made by Cooking a Green Cap on a fire (Campfire, Fire Pit, Dwarf Star, etc.). Unlike its raw counterpart, the Cooked Green Cap will instead restore 15 Sanity Meter and take away 1 Health Meter when eaten, not affecting hunger at all.

In the Shipwrecked DLC, Green Caps can be obtained by using the Slot Machine.

In Hamlet Green Caps can be bought for 2 Oincs at the Curly Tails Mud Spa in the Pig City.

Don't Starve Together icon Don't Starve Together

In Don't Starve Together, the Toadstool has a chance to drop Green Cap upon death. Green Caps are required to craft Dusky Lures and the Green Funcap. A Mushroom Planter can be used to grow Green Mushrooms by planting a Green Cap or Green Mushroom Spores in it.
