Broken Machinery are fragmented Structures surrounding the Unnatural Portal. In appearance, they resemble the inventions of Grainy Transmission. They can be destroyed with a Hammer, with an 85% chance to drop Scrap, a 25% chance to drop Gears and a 25% chance to drop Frazzled Wires.

- The Curse of Moon Quay update trailer implies that these are the remains of a portal that Wagstaff tried to build powered by the soul of the Celestial Champion.
- Before the Scrappy Scavengers update, the Broken Machinery would drop Cut Stone instead of Scrap.
