Benevolent Rabbit King[]
–Wurt
The Benevolent Rabbit King is a passive mob exclusive to Don't Starve Together, introduced in the From Beyond updates. It can be summoned by giving 12 to 16 Carrots to a Rabbit Hole or by catching a Fortuitous Rabbit.
Standing next to the Benevolent Rabbit King grants access to the Trading Hutch Filter.
Unlike regular Rabbits, the Benevolent Rabbit King remains above ground during Dusk and Night. When leaving the area, the Benevolent Rabbit King will despawn and cannot be summoned for the next 5 minutes.
When the Benevolent Rabbit King is attacked, it will turn it into the Wrathful Rabbit King. This also happens when it is approached with Meat items in the inventory or approached as a monster Character like Webber or Wortox; wearing a Coat of Carrots will prevent this.
Fortuitous Rabbit[]
–Wurt
The Fortuitous Rabbit is a passive mob exclusive to Don't Starve Together, introduced in the From Beyond updates. Every time a Rabbit emerges from a Rabbit Hole, there is a 1% chance a Fortuitous Rabbit will spawn instead. There is also a small chance for a Fortuitous Rabbit to fall during an Earthquake in the Caves instead of a regular Rabbit.
When caught, the Fortuitous Rabbit turns into a Benevolent Rabbit King. It cannot be caught with a Trap, but can be chased down due to its slower runspeed.
When the Fortuitous Rabbit is attacked, it will turn it into the Wrathful Rabbit King. This also happens when it is approached with meat items in the inventory or approached as a monster character like Webber or Wortox; wearing a Coat of Carrots will prevent this.
Wrathful Rabbit King[]
–Wurt
The Wrathful Rabbit King is a hostile mob exclusive to Don't Starve Together, introduced in the From Beyond updates. It spawns when a Benevolent Rabbit King or Fortuitous Rabbit is attacked, approached with Meat items in the inventory, or approached by monster Characters like Webber or Wortox, or when killing too many Rabbits or Bunnymen. There is a hidden rabbit naughtiness meter similar to the regular Naughtiness meter; killing a Rabbit adds 1 point to the rabbit naughtiness meter, killing a Bunnyman 3 points. Once the meter reaches the limit (random threshold from 20 to 30), the Wrathful Rabbit King spawns.
Upon death, it drops 1 Monster Meat, 2 Beard Hair, and 1 Rabbit King Cudgel.
Behavior[]
Once spawned, the Wrathful Rabbit King will summon 3 Royal Rabbit Enforcers to protect it. The Wrathful Rabbit King can perform a kick attack that can knockback players. When dodging the kick, the King will land on its head and be sticked with its antlers to the ground for a few seconds, making it vulnerable to damage. When killing the Royal Rabbit Enforcers, the Wrathful Rabbit King will attempt to summon new ones.
Strategy[]
The Wrathful Rabbit King can be put to sleep with a Pan Flute or a Sleep Dart. When it sleeps, the Royal Rabbit Enforcers will become passive, stopping chasing and attacking the player.
Below is the number of hits it takes with each weapon to kill a Benevolent Rabbit King when playing with characters with a default damage modifier. The Weather Pain is not included due to the random nature of its projectile.
