Bee Mines are a Fight Item that can be made with 1 Board, 4 Bees and 1 Flint. A Science Machine is required to prototype a Bee Mine. Once placed, the mine will explode when something comes near it, spawning 4 regular Bees aggressive to whomever/whatever triggered the mine.

WARNING: DON'T place these near burnable objects or items. It will burn down everything.

Bees from a triggered mine will not target the player, since they conform to regular Bee behaviour. That being the case, they will fall asleep if released at night or in Caves.

Note that if the Bees from the Mine are attacked by their target, other Bees from either Bee Boxes or Bee Hives will come to help. Once the target is dead the Bees will remain and can be caught to make another mine. Remember however that this counts as aggression and bees don't discriminate. If there were others nearby assisting against the bomb target, those will attack the player too when using the Bug Net .

• Bees, Killer Bees, Butterflies, Batilisks, Mosquitoes and Mr. Skits cannot activate Bee Mines.
• Although Crawling Horrors and Terrorbeaks can activate Bee Mines, they cannot be attacked by the spawned bees.

• Sometimes the bee mine will simply disappear when placed.
• Multiple bee mines can cause render lag as they are constantly pulsating.
• Sometimes the mine can trigger while in chest/backpack/inventory without being placed.
• Sometimes the same mine can explode multiple times releasing more bees than normal.

• It was added in the The Birds and the Bees & Dogs That Want to Kill You update.
• In the old science research system, its research cost is 100.
• Sometimes two Bee Mines will spawn next to a skeleton as a Boon.
