I said Desert, but Pig King when you have a Wigfrid player.
Place close to everywhere usually
Personally I like desert
What does that map have to do with this discussion, or DS at all for that matter?
Perhaps its just me, but I think its rather silly to choose "x, y or z" biome for a base for the following reasons: if its merely because you like the colours or things in that certain biome, you can always move the floor around and move whatever biome you like underneath you. When choosing a base I like to consider the following factors: 1) being in between lots of other biomes to get a variety of resources (but remembering lots of those can be moved), 2) putting my base on a path (they cant be moved and make travel more convenient) and 3) being near (but in some cases not TOO close to) things that can not move. Honestly, considering the things that cant be moved has got to be one of the most important factors when I choose a bse. Especially if I plan for a world to reach >1000 days or something like that. Well.... I wouldnt place near berries, beefalo or pigs... because they can all be moved. But things like reeds, cave entrances (which you dont want to be TOO close to cus bats), rabbit holes, the list of unmovable stuff goes on really. Thats what I like to focus on. I like to be rather close to a tumbleweed biome to farm gears. But then, you can always make a main camp somewhere, then have a second camp specifically for gear farming so :D
Also, when I try and place rather central to all of the biomes, I find myself rather near spawn anyway. Spawn in general seems to be rather central.
Cobblestones exist and pigs are annoying and inefficient to move, but I get your point. Cacti and Tumbleweeds are really important resources that can't be moved, which is why I chose Desert.
Mewk is really Smart lol
Thanks!
